Alone Together (2010)  is a series of Chatroulette portraits cropped from screen captures taken during conversations with strangers via Chatroulette.

Conversations with the subjects ranged from several hours to mere seconds. All were told "I am going to take your photo" with no other information regarding how or where it woud be used or who I was.

 

These intimate portraits show people alone at home, presenting themselves to the world one random person at a time. An interesting dynamic plays out as people are simultaniously 'on stage' and in the security of thier own space, on camera, yet with a sense of anonymity.
